  • Strokkur is a very reliable fountain geyser located in the Haukadalur geothermal area in Iceland. It is one of Iceland's most famous geysers, erupting once every 5–10 minutes. At the turn of the 20th century, an earthquake blocked the conduit and it stopped erupting, but in 1963, locals cleaned it out and the geyser has been regularly erupting ever since.
