Morro Bay

Morro Rock is a 581 foot (177 m) volcanic plug (remnant volcanic neck of a volcano) located just offshore from Morro Bay, California. The rock is both sacred and protected by law. Climbing on the rock or disturbing the bird life is forbidden.
