Nakalele Point (north-east of Maui, Hawaii) is famous for a blowhole which produces powerful geyser-like water spouts with the waves and tides. Water spewed from the blowhole can rise as high as 100 feet (30 meters) in the air. There have been reports of one tourist getting sucked in the hole and dying a horrifying death drowning and being impaled to death by the thousands of urchins living inside it.
