The chimneys of Barcelona's Casa Milà are its most singular and most renowned elements; they have generated all kinds of hypotheses about their origin and symbolism. They each present a helical body which rotates on itself and are surmounted by a small dome which, in the majority of cases, has a shape similar to a Corinthian helmet.
