Frangipani

Contrary to popular belief, the Frangipani (Plumeria) flower is not the official flower of the state of Hawaii, the Hibiscus is. In several Pacific islands, such as Tahiti, Fiji, Samoa, Hawaii, New Zealand, Tonga, and the Cook Islands plumeria species are used for making leis (flower necklaces).
